The Cowboys are picking up some depth in free agency.
The Cowboys had gone silent in free agency for the past week or so, but now have announced two signings in one day. Earlier, it was reported they will bring on another punter, and now they are adding a tight end.
Cowboys are signing TE Jeremy Sprinkle, they announced. A blocking tight end after Blake Bell joined Chiefs last month. Sprinkle spent past four seasons with Washington. Started 33 of 59 games. Dallas now up to four tight ends (Blake Jarwin, Dalton Schultz and Sean McKeon).

The Cowboys had Blake Bell last year as their blocking tight end. He was supposed to be their third-string tight end but was elevated to second-string after Blake Jarwin went down to injury in the first game of the season. Bell left in free agency to the Chiefs.
