The Dallas Cowboys have a new defensive lineman.
The Dallas Cowboys kicked off their 2025 training camp this week. On Tuesday, they reached a deal with an edge rusher, but it wasn't All-Pro Micah Parsons. Instead, the Cowboys have signed veteran James Houston.

Houston is a former sixth-round pick of the Detroit Lions in 2022. He was very productive despite only playing in seven games as he registered eight sacks, 11 quarterback hits, and seven tackles for loss in just 140 snaps. In 2023, Houston played in just two games and was put on season-ending injured reserve.
Houston played in eight games for the Lions last season but was released in November. The Cleveland Browns claimed him a day later. Houston finished with eight tackles and one sack for the year.
