Cowboys roster move: Dallas waiving running back Jordan Chunn, calling up Chris Covington

Tim Heitman-USA TODAY Sports

Roster construction is a 24/7/365 business for the Dallas Cowboys.

The Dallas Cowboys are undefeated on the season (1-0!) but that doesn’t mean that they are relaxing. With a road game in Washington this Sunday, the Cowboys are still doing what they can to stay prepared and that includes adjusting the roster as needed.

A week ago the Ezekiel Elliott saga came to an end as he and the Cowboys agreed to terms on a long-term contract extension. A few days later the Cowboys moved on from running back Alfred Morris in order to free up a roster spot; on Tuesday they decided to move on from running back Jordan Chunn.

The Cowboys waived RB Jordan Chunn today. Played 16 special teams plays in the opener. #cowboyswire
