Following the NFL's two-day legal tampering window that opened Monday, free agents can sign new contracts with teams as the 2019 league year officially got underway Wednesday afternoon.
Many major moves had already been reported across the league, including for other teams in the NFC East, but Cowboys fans continue to wait on their team to make a big splash.
Hopes of Earl Thomas playing in Dallas have been dashed. Will other free-agent safeties appear on the Cowboys' radar as a result? Or will they simply focus on retaining their own, notably defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence?
The Cowboys appear to be in relatively good shape financially, with an estimated $25.5 million available under the salary cap. However, a quick glance into the future tells a much different story.
