The Dallas Cowboys, valued at $4.8 billion, are once again at the top of Forbes’ annual list of the 50 most valuable sports franchises in the world. Despite sagging ratings and bad press from player protests during the national anthem, the NFL is still enormously popular (37 percent of Americans chose football as their favorite sport in a recent Gallup poll) and enormously profitable. The Dallas Cowboys are the most valuable sports team in the world.
