FRISCO - One new wrinkle the Cowboys added for their mandatory three-day minicamp this week to conclude offseason practices was the players ending each workout with several sets of sprints.
Yes, this isn't a revelation for anyone who has gone through a football practice. However, the Cowboys under coach Jason Garrett haven't previously concluded offseason practices with wind sprints.
The Cowboys also didn't do sprints to conclude most of their voluntary organized team activity practices the three previous weeks.
"Yeah, it's definitely different, but everyone on this team is embracing it," quarterback Dak Prescott said. "That's how you win. You have to be conditioned first and know what you're doing. That's kind of the main reason we're doing it. How do you perform when certain blitzes are coming? Can you still perform well when you're tired? Know what you have to do mentally to still be effective and productive.
