Kris Richard talks Earl Thomas, why he has zero concerns about what the Cowboys have at safety

Earl Thomas and Dallas have been linked together ever since the Seattle safety went into the Cowboys' locker room on Christmas Eve and told Jason Garrett to "come get me" when the Seahawks kicked him to the curb.

That connection has been heightened with Thomas' decision to skip Seattle's minicamp until his "contract situation is resolved."

Passing game coordinator and defensive backs coach Kris Richard, who was Thomas' coach in Seattle, recently joined the "Doomsday Podcast" with Matt Mosley and Ed Werder to chat about the safety and the Cowboys' defense.

When asked if he had given Dallas any opinions about pursuing Thomas, Richard said the following:

"I love him to death. We've been together from Day 1. He's not a part of our team. It's hard to say anything about him even at this point right now. I want him to be happy. [That's] really the bottom line."

He would also add that he knows Thomas "certainly does still have a lot left in the tank."
