The one position Cowboys absolutely can't leave the draft without real improvement

Dane Brugler, senior NFL draft analyst for NFLDraftScout.com, answered your questions about the upcoming draft and the Cowboys in a mailbag. Check out his responses below!

What's the one position Dallas absolutely can't leave the draft without real improvement?

Brugler: Free agency could change this answer, but I would say linebacker. With Anthony Hitchens likely moving on, the Cowboys have one proven starting linebacker on the roster (Sean Lee). Obviously they have high hopes for Jaylon Smith, but the Cowboys can't go into next season without added depth at the position.

Would other teams think they could potentially get more value from drafting a WR than signing a guy like Brice Butler?

Brugler: Depends what type of role a team is trying to fill. Does a NFL team think Butler can be a No. 2 WR? Or is he a No. 4 like in Dallas? Does the team need someone who can contribute from Day 1? Or are they willing to be patient with a rookie? Butler will be an interesting player on the open market because he hasn't proven to be anymore more than a WR No. 4, but he hasn't truly been given the opportunity either.
