The Cowboys running back has made his first statement in regards to his suspension.
Ezekiel Elliott has made his first public comments about his recent six-game suspension. The NFL released their findings of a year-long investigation on Friday and decided to suspend Elliott for six games. Elliott addressed the matter last night in a statement made on his Twitter account.

In the statement Elliott calls the suspension both surprising and disappointing. He also recognized the distraction this has caused, including to the Dallas Cowboys and apologizes for that distraction. He then makes it clear he plans to work hard both on the field and off the field to earn his spot as a professional football player.
