10 safeties the Cowboys could target in NFL draft ... and it's a good bet they're gonna take one

Barry Church signing with the Jacksonville Jaguars is the front-runner for Cowboys' biggest offseason loss. Church was a good strong safety and quality leader. He was among the team leaders in tackles each of the last four seasons.

With J.J. Wilcox also gone, Byron Jones and Jeff Heath would be the Cowboys' starting safeties if the season began today.

Jones is starting regardless of what Dallas does in the draft. Ideally, they'd keep him at free safety, but Jones has the ability to play both spots.

Dallas did sign former Minnesota Viking Robert Blanton to a one-year deal, but there's still a chance the Cowboys could look at some safeties in this draft.

Here are 10 top safeties in this year's draft that the Cowboys could target.
